In the framework of the Erasmus+ GOALS project funded by the European Union, the Football Federation of Kosovo, project partner, launched an environmental message on the giant screen at the Fadil Vokkri Stadium, before the match of the National Football Teams of Kosovo vs. Andorra, played on March 28th. The message in Albanian language, stated “Don’t pollute the environment, come to the stadium on foot”.
The Fadil Vokrri stadium, located in the city of Prishtina in Kosovo and home of the Kosovo National Football Team, has a capacity of 13,980 but the message reached well beyond this number, thanks to the greater visibility of TV audience.
The initiative is part of the greater campaign promoted by the project consortium, aimed at raising environmental awareness of football fans and at promoting the adoption of environmentally-friendly behaviors of football fans in general.
